The LEADfix - membrane pin is a bio-resorbable mini-pin that is inserted into the bone. It serves for the fixation of degradable membranes for controlled tissue regeneration during surgery interventions in the dental area.
As a further indication for example, the fixation of the periost is conceivable.

After 6 - 7 months the LEADfix - membrane pin loses its mechanical stability. Then the decomposition and resorbtion of the pin begins.
This is performed via hydrolysis to lactic acid that is subsequently metabolized to CO2 and H2O. The implant is fully resorbed after 9 months.
