Changing the amalgam collecting tank
That replacement is due will be shown on the display module by LEDs and an audible signal.
Replacement
Switch off, e.g. at main power switch or at the treatment unit. Remove an empty amalgam collecting tank
from the carton.
In order to avoid any risk of infection, wear water-proof protective gloves when changing the collecting tank.
Lever the tank lift upwards using the handle and the amalgam collecting tank will automatically be moved outwards from the amalgam separator. Remove the amalgam collecting tank towards the front and out of the amalgam separator. Take the disinfectant solution from the carton and pour into the full amalgam collecting tank.
Now close the full amalgam collecting tank securely using the cap supplied with the carton.
Observe carefully the markings Front and Arrow: these markings must face the handle.
Press the cover securely onto the amalgam collecting tank until all 6 locking notches have been completely engaged
(visual check).
The collector vessel and cover are for single usage and must not be reused.
Pack the amalgam collecting tank into the carton.
