Used in the air turbine handpiece under full speed and without water spray, the CTT secures a precise cut without burning the tissue. The kinetic energy is just sufficient to create the heat coagulative effect that is needed to prevent excessive bleeding. The ceramic point of the CTT is made from a hard biocompatible oxide material.
