HyFlex EDM rotary NiTi-files lay the foundation for the 5th generation of root canal files.
The new manufacturing process with electrical discharge machining (EDM) gives the files a unique surface which is harder than grinded surfaces. With further changes in cross section, taper and CM-treatment we created a file system for a very simple and fast root canal treatment with a reduced number of files.
The HyFlex EDM Glidepath File 10/.05 and the HyFlex EDM OneFile 25/~ may suffice to obtain good results in the majority of endodontic treatments of simple and straight canals.
For complex and more difficult cases we developed additional sizes: HyFlex EDM Orifice Opener 25/.12 for widening the coronal part of the root canal.
Three HyFlex EDM Finisher Files 40/.04, 50/.03 and 60/.02, for shaping large canals with a bigger apical size to ensure that all parts of the root canal are reached and infected tissue is removed.
HyFlex EDM rotary NiTi-files are used for removing dentine and shaping root canals. As an alternative to our HyFlex CM files they are especially developed for dentists who want to work with a reduced number of files and more pressure.
